Q: My Sleep Number Bed is sagging, how can I repair it?
If you own a Sleep Number Bed, you can check the inside of the bed to see if there is a gap between the air chambers being separated by a piece of foam. This could be part of the problem. Sleep Number Bed has designed their beds to have a gap between the air chambers that is separated by a piece of foam. Over time this will cause a Sleep Number Bed to Hammock.
More often than not, the air chambers of a Sleep Number Bed themselves can play a part as well, by having only one chamber that goes from left to right for every 6 inches enabling the air chamber to sag as air pressure is lowered.
We offer air chambers that won't hammock. They run seam to seam so there is no gap in the middle of the bed. This prevents sagging in the middle of the bed. They also have I beam cross baffles that give support pillows through the air chamber preventing it from sagging in the middle of each air chamber as well.
Replacing Sleep Number Bed air chambers with our AirPro chambers will prevent the bed from sagging.
This requires switching hoses from one side of the Sleep Number Bed air chamber to the other for a period of two to three nights. By then you should be able to see if the same side still goes down. If it does, it is most likely the air chamber. If the other side starts losing air, you have determined that it is the Sleep Number Bed pump itself that is failing.
You could be experiencing the breaking down of the comfort layers above the air chambers of your Sleep Number Bed.
We recommend one of our replacement comfort layers to add to your bed. By unzipping the Sleep Number Mattress and placing one of our replacement foams such as the 1.5 inch multi zoned support foam on top of the air chambers and then putting bed back together will help add the comfort back to your bed and prevent sagging.
We offer a 2 inch base foam that goes under the air chambers. This is designed to get the air chambers up higher.
We also offer a 2.5 inch topper consisting of 1 inch of pure all natural latex and 1.5 inches of open cell memory foam with a all natural bamboo on one side and organic cotton stretch knit cover on the other.
This is used on top of the mattress in most cases, but can be added to the inside of your mattress if you desire. It would prevent the sliding around of the topper and fill the space inside the bed, giving a more full and finish look and feel to your Sleep Number Bed.
Q: What can I do if the ticking (zippered cover) of my Sleep Number Bed needs to be replaced?
The ticking in your Sleep Number mattress top itself can be breaking down. As a bed breaks in to your body much like a pair of jeans, it can add comfort as well. However if you are not comfortable, changing out the zippered cover of your Sleep Number Bed may be a possible solution.
You can call our customer support team to inquire about the purchase of a new AirPro zippered cover @ 314-599-2777.
Usually the ticking of a Sleep Number Bed cover is layered with support foam and quilted with stitching to help it hold up more to tossing and turning in the night. However, older styles of Sleep Number Beds used blended cotton, rayon, and other lofty materials which have been found to not hold up as well as quilting foams.
All of our AirPro comfort tops use quilting foams and several comfort layers depending on which model you choose.
We also recommend the use of Hypo-Tector™ Waterproof / Dust mite barrier on your bed to prevent the breaking down of your mattress over time. Your body fluids and dead skin cells can then be removed with your linens and laundered away.
This natural shedding is known to become dust mite food, and will dry up in the cover and cause premature breaking down of the topper. Preventing these things from entering your bed will extend the life of your bed as well as add to the cleanliness of your sleeping arrangements.

Self Adjusting Technology Beds and then you can add our AirPRO air chambers and pump, for further questions or directions call us @ 314-599-2777
